Class Policies

Class

Times

Each class opens with Shavasana, the deeply restorative Guided Awareness. It is important, both for yourself and for your fellow students, that you arrive 5 to 10 minutes early, to set up your blankets and quietly prepare for class. Students arriving after class begins can quietly lie down in Shavasana, with their feet resting on the floor. Afterward, they can quickly set up blankets for the poses.

Class

Fees

Missed

Classes

There are separate fees for single classes and for the 8-week series. The discount offered for the 8-week series is given because of your commitment to coming to class consistently. With this discount, you will also be reserving a space in one designated class per week. These 8 classes must be completed with 10 weeks. When paying the single class fee, attendance is based upon space availability. Please call ahead to ensure there is space for you. All fees are payable in advance.

Please call or email as soon as you know you will not be attending your regular class. Please try to let us know at least 24 hours in advance. This will allow time for someone else to attend. If you miss a class without prior notification, you will be charged for that class.

Make-up

Classes

When you are absent with prior notice, you may schedule a make-up class. Make-up classes are subject to space availability and must be completed within the 10-week period.

Class

Etiquette

Practicing yoga in a classroom can be a very powerful experience. For maximum benefit to all, here are a few requests:

  • Please turn off your cell phone.

  • Do not wear scented lotions, perfumes or oils, as some people are allergic.

  • If you come with wet hair, please bring a towel to place under your head.

  • Please inform the teacher if you need to leave class early.

  • Arrive at class 5 to 10 minutes before class time.

  • Enter the studio quietly, respecting your classmates.

  • Be open and ready for change!
